Time: 5 min plus steeping time
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 1 cocktail

Almost year-round, the bar at Arnaud's Restaurant mixes more French 75s than anywhere else in New Orleans. But during Mardi Gras, their signature purple cocktail, a beloved favorite, takes center stage. The drink gets its vibrant color from cachaça infused with cletoria flowers, a blue plant with a mild flavor. The purple cocktail is served with a green sprig of mint and garnished with a gold plastic baby figurine—all in the Mardi Gras colors.
