The famous tropical cocktail "Piña Colada," which translates from Spanish as "strained pineapple," has become the national drink of Puerto Rico, where it was invented. Originally, "piña colada" referred to freshly squeezed and strained pineapple juice; only later were rum and coconut milk or cream added. The cocktail's key ingredients make it a tropical bomb that will rock any summer party or bring a beach-vacation vibe to a dull weekday.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 0.5 cups diced pineapple, frozen
  • 60 ml. pineapple juice
  • 60 ml coconut cream
  • 45 ml white rum
  • 30 ml dark rum
  • 1.5 cups of ice
  • Pineapple wedges
