A very simple recipe for a traditional Mexican snack made with wheat tortillas filled with smoked chicken breast, avocado, green chilies, and, of course, cheese, an essential part of any quesadilla. Served with low-fat sour cream.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 corn tortillas diameter 15 cm.
  • 200 g low-fat cheese
  • 250 g smoked chicken breast, diced
  • 1 ripe avocado, cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup green chili peppers
  • 4 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 110 g of low-fat sour cream

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Heat a heavy-bottomed cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Place 1 tortilla in front of you and spread 1/8 of the cheese on one side. Top with 1/4 of the chicken, 1/4 of the avocado, 1/4 of the green chili, 1/4 of the cilantro, and another 1/8 of the cheese.
  2. Roll and place on the grill. Cook until the cheese begins to melt, flip with a wide spatula and continue cooking. Remove from the grill to a cutting board. Cut into 4 pieces. Serve with salsa and low-fat sour cream.
