1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup canned pineapple chunks, save 0.5 cup syrup, drain the rest
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp. l. rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 4 teaspoons of cornstarch mixed with 4 teaspoons of water
  • Boiled rice, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken strips with salt and add them to the skillet. Fry them and transfer to a plate. Add the red and green peppers and fry for 1 minute.
  2. Add the pineapple chunks, juice, sugar, vinegar, and chicken broth and bring to a boil. Simmer until the sauce begins to thicken. Add the cornstarch mixture and bring to a simmer. Add the chicken strips and cook for 5 minutes. Serve with rice.
