The next time you bake sugar cookies, brown the butter before adding it to the dough. Brown butter has a nutty flavor and aroma that will infuse the finished cookies. For a beautiful presentation, sandwich two cookies together with jam to create little button-like sandwiches and dust with powdered sugar.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

- 220 g brown butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 2 and 1/4 cups premium flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Separately, whisk together the egg yolks, vanilla, and orange zest. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the butter mixture, then add the eggs. Knead the dough, then chill for 30 minutes.
- Using a tablespoon, roll the cookies into balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 160°C (325°F). Let cool completely, then sandwich two cookies together with raspberry jam and dust with powdered sugar.
