S'mores is a dessert whose original name is a shortening of the phrase "some more." This traditional dessert is typically made over a campfire at summer camps. The first recipe for s'mores appears in a cookbook from the 1920s. This dessert is popular in the United States and Canada. It's made by placing a piece of chocolate on a graham cracker, then adding a marshmallow toasted over a campfire, and topping it with another graham cracker. The original recipe uses Oreo cookies instead of graham crackers.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:

  1. Preheat the oven grill.
  2. Using a twisting motion, remove the tops of the cookies. Arrange the bottoms of the cookies on a baking sheet, cream filling facing up. Place the chocolate chips on the cream filling, then the marshmallows on top, laying them on their sides.

  3. Bake the cookies on broiler mode, watching them closely, until the marshmallows are golden brown, about 30 seconds. Top each cookie with the remaining toppings. Eat while they're still melted and gooey.
