Complexity: easily

This rich chocolate pie tastes just like the classic American camping dessert, s'mores, with campfire-roasted marshmallows. You don't need a campfire to bake it, and it's made with just four ingredients: store-bought graham cracker crust, chocolate, heavy cream, and the cherry on top—marshmallows. The recipe is as simple as roasting s'mores over a campfire. A thick layer of ganache (a creamy chocolate filling) is poured into the pie crust, then the set filling is topped with marshmallows, and the top is toasted in the oven using the broiler setting.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 400 gr. milk chocolate granules
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 prepared graham cracker pie shell, 9" in diameter
  • 15 marshmallows

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips with the cream and microwave for 2.5 minutes. Stir until smooth (the chocolate may seem to separate at first, but just keep stirring). Spread the ganache over the prepared pie crust, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until the filling sets, about 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to grill mode.

  3. Using kitchen scissors, cut each marshmallow in half diagonally, from one corner to the opposite corner. Arrange the marshmallow halves, cut-side down, on top of the cooled cake. Toast in the oven until golden brown, carefully watching the cake to avoid burning and rotating the pan as needed, about 1 minute. Let the cake cool completely, then cover with plastic wrap and return to the refrigerator for 1-2 hours to allow the ganache to set again.
