This luxurious tart was inspired by the American campfire dessert s'mores—a simple yet delicious combination of graham crackers, melting chocolate, and campfire-roasted marshmallows. The base of the tart is a crust of crushed graham crackers, filled with a simple chocolate frosting, and topped with a fluffy meringue topped with marshmallow frosting. Toast the top of the meringue in the oven using the broiler setting, sprinkle with chocolate chips, and serve. Everyone will be delighted by the stunning combination of crumbly crust, thick and smooth chocolate, and cloud-light meringue.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to bubble around the edges. Turn off the heat and add 1 cup of chocolate chips. Let sit for a few minutes to melt the chocolate, then stir until smooth. Spoon the chocolate mixture over the cake and freeze until completely set, about 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to grill mode.

  3. Place the egg whites in a large, clean glass or metal bowl. Beat with a hand mixer until foamy. Without stopping the mixer, gradually whisk in the sugar. Continue beating until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the vanilla extract and creamy marshmallowSpoon the mixture over the chocolate, covering it all the way to the cake. Place on the middle rack of the oven and broil until the top is lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Decorate the cake with the remaining chocolate chips. Let cool for 10 minutes and slice.
