Strawberry pie is a chic summer alternative to autumnal lattice apple pies. It's incredibly easy to make, as the berry filling requires no pre-boiling. Simply mix the strawberries with sugar and cornstarch and spread them over the dough in a pie pan. Using store-bought pie crust will save you time. Instead of a traditional lattice topping, you can cover the filling with circles of dough. It looks unique and unusual. Before baking, sprinkle the exposed areas of the dough with coarse sugar to create an especially crisp crust against the delicate strawberry filling. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
