Sauerkraut Reuben Sauce - A Detailed Recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup squeezed sauerkraut
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 2 tsp sweet and hot relish (pickled vegetable caviar)
  • 1/8 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese

Recipe:


Heat olive oil in a saucepan, add onion, sauerkraut and 1 teaspoon cumin. Cook until the vegetables are browned, about 8 minutes. Stir in the mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, Worcestershire sauce, and cheese.

Note

This sauerkraut, seasoned with mayonnaise, is used in making sandwiches. Ruben.
