Time: 1 hour.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 16 double cookies

Whoopie pie is a traditional American sandwich dessert that's easy to make at home. Two chocolate biscuits are held together by a delicious vanilla frosting with a firm, marshmallow-like texture. Also known as a "Big Fat Oreo" for its resemblance to the popular cookie, whoopie pie is a treat for any sweet tooth and chocolate lover. Bake an even number of cookies, and once they've cooled completely, glue two together with frosting. To ensure even and neat cookies, you can pipe the dough using a pastry bag.
