Bake a colorful clear lollipop in the center of a sugar cookie to create a magical stained-glass window, perfect for hanging on your Christmas tree. Don't forget to poke a hole for the string while the cookie is still hot, so it stays neat.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 tube (450 g) sugar cookie dough
  • 1 bag of assorted colored hard candies (recommended: Lifesavers)
  • 1 small tube of decorative glaze
  • 1 packet of silver dragees
  • Special equipment: 24 strings or ribbons 20 cm long.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C and line 2 baking sheets with silicone baking mats.
  2. Cut the dough log into 0.5 cm thick slices and place them on prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2.5 cm apart.

  3. Cut a 2.5 cm diameter hole in the center of each dough circle (using a small cutter). Remove the center and place a lollipop in its place.
  4. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Remove the baking sheets from the oven. While the cookies are still hot, use a large straw to poke a hole in the top for the ribbon. Place the baking sheets on a wire rack and let the cookies cool completely.
  6. Once the cookies have cooled completely, use decorative icing to attach silver candy canes to each wreath. Let the icing set. Insert a ribbon through the hole in the cookie and tie the ends together. Repeat with the remaining cookies. These wreath-shaped cookies can be used as Christmas decorations.
