All-Purpose Self-Rising Baking Mix Recipe English scones and American layered buns biscuits, as well as cupcakes.

Now you don't have to wake up too early to bake something for breakfast. Make this versatile baking mix and store it in the refrigerator or freezer. All you have to do is add the filling and pop these delicious buns or tender muffins in the oven. Enjoy baking even on weekdays!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 220 g frozen butter, grated on a coarse grater
  • 2 tbsp plus 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 6 cups premium flour

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Mix sugar, baking powder, salt and flour. Add butter.

    Option


    For a whole grain version, substitute 2 cups of all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour.

    What's the secret to the most delicious baked goods? Add butter to flour in small increments. It's much faster to grate frozen butter (use the large holes of a box grater) than to cut cold butter with a blender or knife.
