Soda bread with raisins - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 cups premium flour
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tbsp. cumin
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk or kefir
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Add butter to the flour mixture and knead with your hands.

    Add raisins and caraway seeds. Mix with milk.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 2.5 cm. Using a 6 cm round cutter, cut out 6 muffins from the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheets, slightly spaced apart.

    Bake raisin muffins at 190°C for 15-20 minutes.
