Ingredients for the recipe:
- 2 cups cachaça liqueur (Brazilian vodka)
- 1 liter of water
- 1 liter of sugar
- 6 limes (each cut into 8 wedges)
- 3 cups crushed ice
We recommend
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Carefully wash the limes with water and pat dry. Pour the cooled sugar syrup into a large pitcher, add 5 lime wedges, and gently mash to prevent the lime peel from releasing too many of its aromatic oils.
Add ice and liqueur and stir. Serve in a tall glass, garnished with a lime wedge.
