- 225 gr. finely chopped linguica, and 225 gr. linguica sausage, sliced into 0.5 cm thick slices

- 2 cups chopped red onion
- 1 tbsp plus 1 tsp Creole spice mix
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced fresh cilantro leaves

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Brown the bacon in a medium saucepan for about 2 minutes. Add the sausage and cook with the bacon until browned, about 5 minutes more. Add the onion, Creole spice mix, and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring frequently, until softened, about 5 minutes more.
