With this cocktail sauce, shrimp will be the absolute center of attraction at your house party. It's a perfectly balanced blend of ketchup and horseradish, with the addition of lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and fiery Tabasco. Despite its simplicity, the flavor is quite complex and rich. Serve well-chilled with shrimp or other seafood appetizers.


Ingredients:

  • 0.5 cups ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. horseradish
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lemon
  • Tabasco sauce, to taste
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a small bowl, combine ketchup, horseradish, a splash of Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and a splash of Tabasco sauce. Chill and serve with the shrimp.
