If you already have some cooked pasta, perhaps leftover from last night's dinner, this mac 'n' cheese will take you just 10 minutes. It's perfect for a quick, filling breakfast. Simply toss the pasta in a quick sauce made with cream and three types of cheese—cream, cheddar, and American (processed)—and you're ready to go! If you have a few minutes to spare, you can sprinkle the mac 'n' cheese with breadcrumbs and broil it in the oven for a wonderfully crispy crust that perfectly complements the creamy cheese sauce.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 30 g of cream cheese, room temperature
- 1/4 tsp garlic salt
- 0.5 cups grated sharp cheddar
- 2 slices American cheese
- 3 tbsp. boiled cavatappi pasta

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a medium cast iron skillet, heat the heavy cream, cream cheese, and garlic salt over high heat. When the mixture begins to bubble around the edges, gently stir in the cream cheese, about 1 minute. Cook the sauce for 15 seconds to thicken. Add the cheddar and American cheese and continue stirring. Pour the sauce over the cooked pasta, toss, and serve immediately!
Note
If you want a little color and crispiness on the pasta, return the mac 'n' cheese to the pan, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and broil for a couple of minutes. Cavatappi can be substituted with any pasta you have on hand.
