Warm succotash salad is a great way to add more vegetables and legumes to your diet. Despite the abundance of ingredients, it's quite easy to prepare. Simply add all the vegetables and spices to the pan in the desired order, heat through, and serve as an appetizer or side dish with meat.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 4 thick slices bacon, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 5 ears of corn, kernels removed (about 5 cups)
  • 2 cups canned lima beans, rinsed
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat, bring to a boil, then add the bacon and cook until the fat has rendered and the bacon is crispy, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add tomatoes, garlic, and onion and cook until the onion has softened slightly, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add the corn and cook for another 2 minutes. Add the lima beans and remove from heat. Stir in the basil and red wine vinegar, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve.
