If you're planning a summer party, make a large batch of natural homemade lemonade, adding lemon slices for garnish. It's made with just water, lemons, and sugar. No artificial flavors or colors! It's just the thing for a healthy refreshment on a hot day. This lemonade has a perfectly balanced flavor, sweetened with simple syrup, but you can adjust it to your preferences by adding more lemon juice. Chill only the simple syrup, which dissolves faster than regular sugar, and you can serve it immediately in glasses with ice.


Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp. sugar
  • 4 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced
  • Ice, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a large saucepan, combine the sugar with 4 cups of water and heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup is hot. Let cool, then pour into a large drink dispenser or pitcher. Add 8 liters of cold water, lemon juice, and lemon slices and stir. Refrigerate until completely chilled.
  • Step 2
  • Serve with ice.
