Tea lemonade

Iced tea and natural homemade lemonade are two popular drinks at summer house parties. To avoid the hassle, combine them in one pitcher! The result is tea lemonade or iced lemon tea—call it what you will, but chilled with fresh mint, it's delicious and refreshing!


Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of boiling water
  • 4 tea bags
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice + 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • Sprigs of fresh mint for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour boiling water over the tea bags in a heat-resistant container and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the bags and let the tea cool.
  • Step 2
  • Mix sugar with 3 cups of water and stir until sugar dissolves to form syrup.
  • Step 3
  • Pour lemon juice into a large pitcher, add the syrup and tea, and stir. Add lemon slices and mint leaves. Refrigerate the tea for about an hour before serving.
