Refreshing homemade lemonade always lifts the spirits on a hot summer day. It's incredibly easy to make. You can mix it in a large container, keep it in the refrigerator, and enjoy its invigorating flavor throughout the day. To make it, you'll need water, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sugar. This recipe balances the proportions perfectly, resulting in a lemonade that's just the right amount of sweet and citrusy. If you're making it for a house party or special occasion, consider adding lemon slices and mint sprigs to garnish each serving.


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 liters of cold water
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • Mint sprigs, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a 4-liter container, combine sugar and hot water and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice and cold water. Mix thoroughly.
  • Step 2
  • Pour the lemonade into glasses with ice, squeeze a slice of lemon into each serving and garnish with a sprig of mint.
