When making homemade lemonade, it's important to maintain the correct proportions of freshly squeezed lemon juice, water, and sugar. This will ensure your drink is perfectly refreshing, with a balanced flavor without being overly tart or sweet. This lemonade is perfect for summer family gatherings.


Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp of water
  • 4 liters of cold water
  • 2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, sliced ​​into rounds, + 1 lemon, sliced ​​into wedges, for serving
  • Ice
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Make simple syrup by combining sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over low heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Step 2
  • Pour 4 liters of cold water and lemon juice into a large glass pitcher. Add syrup and lemon wedges. Stir well. Pour the lemonade into tall glasses filled with ice. Garnish the rim with lemon wedges and enjoy!
