Low-calorie lemonade

How to Make Low-Calorie Lemonade
Time: 15 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 1 (230-280 ml.)

A bright, refreshing lemonade that's sugar-free. Its natural sweetness comes solely from apples. Juice them along with the lemons and enjoy the sparkling flavor of the drink. You can also customize the lemonade's flavor by adding other apple varieties. Red apples, instead of Golden Delicious, will give the drink a pinkish tint. If you don't have a juicer, you can use a blender. The lemonade will be just as delicious.

We recommend

Recipe:

  • 2 Golden Delicious apples, cored and diced
  • 2 small lemons, peeled and sliced
  • Special equipment: juicer (see note)

Assemble the juicer and turn it on. Squeeze the apples and lemons.

Add a pinch of salt and stir. Let the juice sit for a few minutes, then skim off any foam that rises. Serve with plenty of ice.

Note

If you don't have a juicer, make this lemonade in a blender. Simply combine all the prepared fruit and salt, add 0.5 cups of water, and blend until smooth. Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve, pushing it through with a spoon. This lemonade will be slightly more tart, but still delicious!
