A refreshing cocktail of strawberries, lemon juice, and citrus vodka is perfect for a summer evening. The secret ingredient in this cocktail is elderflower liqueur (such as St. Germain). It adds a slightly more complex and sophisticated flavor.


Ingredients:

  • 6-8 frozen strawberries, thawed, hulled and quartered + extra strawberry pieces for garnish
  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
  • 3 tbsp. ultrafine sugar
  • 90 ml citrus vodka
  • 45 ml elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germain
  • Carbonated water
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the strawberries with lemon juice and sugar and shake until the sugar dissolves in the lemon juice and the strawberries begin to puree. Add the vodka and liqueur and stir.
  • Step 2
  • Pour the contents of a cocktail shaker into two tall Collins glasses, add ice, and top with soda. Stir. Garnish with a few strawberry slices.
