Natural lemonade made according to this recipe is delicious on its own, but with a splash of bourbon, you get a wonderfully refreshing cocktail for home parties. To make it, you'll need simple syrup (make it ahead of time and refrigerate it), freshly squeezed lemon juice, and sparkling water. Add the syrup to the lemonade gradually, tasting as you go. You won't need all the syrup. Pour the whiskey into the poured lemonade in glasses. Add plenty of ice, fresh mint leaves, and a refreshing pleasure is guaranteed!


Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 3 tbsp of water
  • Juice of 12 lemons
  • Ice
  • 1 small bunch of fresh mint
  • Bourbon, to taste
  • Carbonated water, as needed
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine sugar and water in a saucepan. Heat until the sugar dissolves. Refrigerate the syrup until ready to use.
  • Step 2
  • In a small pitcher, combine lemon juice and cooled sugar syrup, adding gradually and tasting until you achieve your desired balance of sweet and tart.
  • Step 3
  • For servingPlace ice cubes in a tall glass. Add a few mint leaves. Pour a splash of bourbon into the glass (to taste). Add lemonade and top with soda.
