Make Mediterranean-style sandwiches for tea. Soft, fluffy focaccia is cut in half and filled with slices of Italian provolone cheese and chopped olives with herbs. A mix of olives, both dark and green, is ideal. Another important ingredient is high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Its flavor will complement the olives and cheese beautifully.


Ingredients:

  • 1 Italian focaccia
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped olives
  • 3 tbsp. l. chopped parsley
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Mix 1 cup of chopped olives with 3 tablespoons of chopped parsley. Cut the focaccia in half horizontally and drizzle the cut sides with olive oil. Top with the olive mixture and slices of provolone cheese, then arrange chopped fresh vegetables and herbs. Cut into squares.
