Bake chocolate chip cookies with this simple recipe and enjoy their amazing, rich flavor. The cookies are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Any kind of chocolate chips can be used for the filling: granules, M&M's, crushed chocolate bars, or even a combination of these. Chopped walnuts make a wonderful addition. The dough is easy to mix without a mixer, and you can bake it as round cookies on a baking sheet or make bars by baking them whole in a baking pan and cutting them into squares.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 220 g softened butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cups unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tbsp. chocolate granules, 2 chopped Hershey's chocolate bars or M&M'S jelly beans
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. In another large bowl, combine butter, white and brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cocoa. Gradually fold the flour mixture into the butter mixture and knead into a dough. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts, if using, and distribute evenly.
  2. Cookie. Drop tablespoons of batter onto greased baking sheets and bake for about 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

  3. Bars: Place the dough in a greased 22cm square baking pan and press down. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into squares and let cool.
