This dried herb blend is common in the south of France and is a perfect accompaniment to any Mediterranean-style dish, whether it's baked chicken, fried fish, grilled meat, or a vegetable salad dressing. All the ingredients are taken in equal proportions and simply mixed together in the jar. Prepare this blend from your own hand-picked herbs, and you'll be sure to have a high-quality seasoning that will impart a luxurious aroma. A jar of Herbes de Provence is also a great gift for friends when you visit.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 tablespoons dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp. l. dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons dried marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons dried fennel seeds
  • 2 tbsp. l. dried savory
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
