This bread stuffing can be baked inside the holiday turkey or separately. The latter option is preferable, as it gives you more of this delicious side dish, enough to share with the whole family. Either way, the flavor is amazing! The bread stuffing is filled with crunchy pecan pieces, and its flavor is harmoniously complemented by spicy herbs and hints of bourbon.

Add 2 cups each diced onion and celery, 1 tablespoon each chopped sage and thyme, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes.- Add 3 cups of turkey or chicken broth and bring to a simmer. In a large bowl, whisk together 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of chopped parsley. Add 1/6 cups of stale white bread cubes, then pour in the vegetable mixture and stir.
