Bread stuffing is a popular side dish for a holiday turkey or chicken. However, if you cook it inside the bird, there might not be enough for all your guests. Therefore, the best option is to bake it separately in a large roasting pan. The key is to add the right amount of liquid (broth, seasoning) and plenty of vegetables; this will ensure the stuffing is very juicy and the surface will be deliciously crispy.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 220g raw sweet Italian sausage, removed from casings and crumbled
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cup Italian dressing
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 can (340 g) roasted sweet peppers, drained and chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 loaf (350 g) Italian bread, cut into 1 cm cubes (about 8 cups)
