The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 700 g of salted cod
  • 900 g of low-starch potatoes, sliced ​​into 0.5 cm thick slices and boiled until soft
  • 1/2 cup plus 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 cups thinly sliced ​​onions
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs
  • 8 olives
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley leaves

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Soak the cod in cold water, completely submerging it, for 24-36 hours, changing the water frequently. Drain.
  2. Cut the cod into small pieces, discarding the bones. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add 1/4 cup oil. When the oil is hot, add the onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Fry until light golden brown, about 6 minutes.

  3. Preheat oven to 180°C.

    Grease a medium ovenproof ceramic dish with a teaspoon of olive oil. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.

    Place half the potatoes in the bottom of the prepared pan. Sprinkle the potatoes with half the salted cod. Place half the onion mixture on top of the cod. Sprinkle the onion mixture over the cod again. Top with another layer of potatoes. Drizzle the remaining 1/4 cup of oil over the pan. Place in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.

    Place on a serving platter. Garnish with sliced ​​eggs, olives, and parsley.
