Baked beets in the oven - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 12 pcs. beets
  • 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1.5 tsp thyme leaves, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar
  • Juice of 1 large orange
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 200°C.

    Trim the top and roots of the beets and peel them with a knife or vegetable peeler. Cut the beets into large pieces.
  • Step 2
  • Place the beets on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil, thyme leaves, salt and pepper.

    Roast for 35-40 minutes, stirring once or twice during baking, until the beets are tender. Remove from the oven and immediately toss with vinegar and orange juice. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
