Step-by-step recipe for making a Cheese Cone cheeseball.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 and 1/4 cups whole almonds
  • 230 gr. curd cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 slices crispy fried bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp chopped dill
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions
  • Sprigs of greenery, for decoration

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
  2. Place the almonds on a baking sheet in a single layer and toast until golden brown, about 20 minutes.

  3. Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise. Add bacon, salt and pepper, dill, and onion. Refrigerate overnight.
  4. On a serving platter, form two pine cone-shaped cones out of the cheese. Begin inserting the almonds into the cheese cones at a slight angle, starting from the narrow end of the cones.
  5. Place the nuts in rows, overlapping each other, until the cheese is completely covered. Garnish with decorative or real pine needles, or rosemary sprigs.
  6. Serve the cheese cones at room temperature with crackers as an appetizer on your festive New Year's table.

    This dish pairs well with white Chardonnay wine.
