Potatoes, bacon, fried eggs, and lots of gooey cheese—a perfect combination for both breakfast and dinner. This dish cooks in a microwaveable mug in just six minutes. Even a child home from school can make it while parents are at work.

Ingredients:

  • 2 strips of bacon
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp frozen grated potatoes, thawed
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1 tbsp. milk
  • 2 slices of cheese
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Line a large mug with several sheets of paper towel. Place the bacon in the mug, cover with another paper towel, and microwave on high power for 1 minute. Pull the edges of the paper towel to remove the bacon from the mug and set aside.
  • Step 2
  • Place the grated potatoes in a mug, pressing them into the bottom and sides to create a well. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 1 minute.
  • Step 3
  • Add the eggs, milk, and a pinch of salt and black pepper to the mug and stir, leaving the potatoes alone. Tear the bacon and cheese into bite-sized pieces and toss them into the egg mixture. Microwave on high for 2 minutes, pausing after 1 minute to quickly stir the mixture.
