Fried potatoes with bacon - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 670 g small red potatoes, quartered and skinned
  • 3 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place the potatoes in a medium saucepan, cover with cold water, and add a good pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, simmer for 1 minute, then drain well and set aside. The potatoes should be about half cooked.
  • Step 2
  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp, about 5 minutes. Transfer the bacon with a slotted spoon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain. Add olive oil to the skillet after the bacon is cooked and increase the heat slightly.
  • Step 3
  • Place the potatoes cut-side down. Cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and toss with crispy bacon. Season generously with salt and pepper and garnish with chives.
