This warm and sweet summer dessert can be enjoyed any time of year, as it's made with frozen berries. This berry crisp is ready in the microwave in just minutes. Try it for breakfast, topped with a spoonful of natural yogurt, or for dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. quick-cooking oats
  • 2 tbsp. l. brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp chilled unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup mixed frozen berries, such as strawberries and raspberries
  • Greek yogurt, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine the oats, sugar, walnuts, flour, and cinnamon in a large mug. Using a fork, beat in the butter until crumbly.
  • Step 2
  • Place the berries on top of the oat mixture and microwave on high for 2 minutes, until the fruit begins to bubble and the juices thicken slightly. Stir to bring the oat mixture to the surface, and serve with a dollop of yogurt on top.
