Serve this easy-to-make cheeseball as a festive wreath. Use a small Bundt pan to shape the cheese into a wreath, or form the cheese mixture into a ball or log. Sprinkle the cheese wreath with colorful ingredients, and it's sure to be the centerpiece of your holiday table.


Ingredients:

  • 500 g of cottage cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tbsp. grated hard cheese such as Cheddar, Parmesan, Pecorino, Gruyère, Manchego
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Coarse salt and ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pickled red peppers, such as Peppadew, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives
  • Crackers, sliced ​​bread or vegetables, for serving
  • Special equipment: small (1.5-liter) bundt cake pan (round fluted pan with a hole inside)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Line the inside of the pan with plastic wrap. In a food processor, combine the cream cheese, hard cheese, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of ground pepper until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a medium bowl and toss with the pickled peppers, reserving 2 tablespoons of the peppers for garnish.
  • Step 2
  • Place the cheese mixture into the prepared pan; press it down and smooth the surface (or simply form the cheese mixture into a ball and wrap tightly in plastic wrap). Chill for at least 1 hour or refrigerate for up to 2 days.
  • Step 3
  • Unmold and invert onto a serving platter. Sprinkle with onion and parsley and garnish with 2 tablespoons of red pepper flakes. Serve the cheese wreath with crackers, sliced ​​bread, or vegetables.
