Chipotle cheese sauce recipe. The sauce is made with butter, flour, milk, cheese, canned chili peppers, tomato, and chipotle sauce made from smoked jalapeños. Serve the cheese sauce as a hot dog topping.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt
  • A few pinches of pepper
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 3/4 tbsp. grated semi-hard cheese
  • 1/4 cup canned green chili peppers (drained)
  • 1 plum tomato, diced
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons chipotle hot sauce made with smoked jalapeño peppers

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a saucepan, combine 2 tablespoons (30 g) of butter and flour, 1/2 teaspoon of coarse salt, and a few grinds of pepper. Place over medium heat and stir for 2 minutes, until the mixture begins to foam. Gradually add 1 cup of milk. Cook, stirring, for about 4 minutes, until thickened.
  2. Add 3/4 cup grated semi-hard cheese, 1/4 cup canned green chilies (drained), 1 plum-shaped diced tomato and 1–2 tablespoons of chipotle hot sauce made with smoked jalapeños. Stir until smooth.
