Cheese cake

How to Make Cheesecake
Time: 40 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 6 - 8

Next time you're hosting a birthday party, serve cheesecake as a three-layer cake! It'll be an impressive treat while you wait for the main dessert. Use different-sized pans for each layer of cheesecake. Fill them with a mixture of cream cheese mixed with grated hard cheese (ideally, a different variety for each layer) and a little Worcestershire sauce for a tangy flavor. Once all the layers have set in the refrigerator, top each with chopped nuts, bacon, or chips. Serve the cheesecake as an appetizer, spread on crackers placed nearby.

Recipe:

Combine three 8-ounce packages of softened cream cheese with 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and 3 cups grated hard cheese (cheddar, Parmesan, pepper jack, Gouda, or a combination); season with salt and pepper to taste. Grease three small round pans and various-sized molds (about 3 inches to 6 inches) and line them with plastic wrap; spoon the cheese mixture into the pans, pressing down firmly, and refrigerate until set. Then remove the cheese from the pans, top with nuts, bacon, spices, or other snacks, and assemble in layers like a cake. Serve with crackers.
