Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a food processor, combine the cheddar, mayonnaise, hot sauce, and garlic and pulse until the cheese remains coarse. Add the cream cheese and pulse until smooth. Add the chopped peppers and pulse twice, just until incorporated.
- Line a small bowl with plastic wrap, then spoon the cheese mixture into the bowl, pressing it down. Cover with the ends of the wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
