Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C.
  2. Line a large baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper or nonstick foil. Place a 4-inch (11 cm) bowl upside down in the center of the pan and use it as a guide (this will be the center, empty area of your wreath).

  3. Place the triangles of croissant dough on parchment paper around a bowl, with the long ends facing outward and the wide sides overlapping slightly (like the sun). Brush the dough with jalapeño jelly. Remove the bowl.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the ham, Gruyere, and pepper jack cheese, then spoon the mixture onto the dough to form a ring around the center. Pull the outer edges of the dough over the filling and tuck them under the base of each triangle. The filling will be visible! Top with jalapeño slices.
  5. Bake, rotating the pan halfway through, until golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
