Iris "Christmas Wreath" in 5 minutes

How to Make Christmas Wreath Toffee in 5 Minutes
Time: 10 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 32 tiles

Everyone loves chocolate toffee, and this Advent wreath dessert will be a true highlight of your holiday celebration. It's quick to make and delicious. The wreath is made from a solidified mass of chocolate toffee with pieces of walnuts and raisins. After shaping it around an empty condensed milk can, begin decorating immediately before it sets. Rachel Ray suggests making sprigs of holly from red and green candied cherries, but you can also create your own Christmas-themed decorations or tie the solidified wreath with ribbon.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place a heavy-bottomed saucepan on the stove and heat over low heat. Add the chocolate, toffee, and condensed milk and stir until the granules melt and the mixture is smooth. Don't throw away the empty condensed milk can.
  • Step 2
  • Add vanilla extract to the pan and remove from heat. Add the nuts and raisins and stir immediately.
  • Step 3
  • Cover an empty condensed milk can with plastic wrap and place it in the center of a greased cake pan. Arrange the toffee around the can, making sure the can stays centered.
  • Step 4
  • The toffee will set almost immediately, so decorate it quickly, within 1-2 minutes. Decorate the wreath with a "holly" wreath made from sliced candied red and green cherries. Or, once it's set, tie it with a pretty ribbon before serving.
  • Step 5
  • Cover and refrigerate the toffee wreath. Before serving, slice it very thinly.
