Traditional winter fruits and berries are combined in this festive cocktail, prepared in a huge punch bowl for a large gathering. All the ingredients are simply poured into the bowl, resulting in a magnificent drink with the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness from pomegranate and cranberry juices, the bubbles from Prosecco, and the alcohol from gin and orange liqueur. Your guests will be lining up for more!

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups of pomegranate juice
  • 6 cups cranberry juice
  • 1.5 cups of gin
  • 2/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 6 limes) + lime wedges, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) chilled Prosecco
  • 2 cups frozen cranberries
  • 0.5 tbsp. pomegranate seeds
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a large punch bowl, combine pomegranate juice, cranberry juice, gin, lime juice, orange liqueur, Prosecco and ice; stir.
  • Step 2
  • Add cranberries, pomegranate seeds, and lime wedges. Pour the cocktail into glasses and garnish with mint sprigs.
