This recipe is perfect for a quick breakfast or for those times when you don't feel like cooking complicated meals after a long day at work. Mango chutney You can serve it separately with sandwiches, so everyone can add as much sweetness as they like. Canned peaches or apricots are a good substitute.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 tbsp ready-made mango chutney
  • 8 slices of whole grain bread
  • 340 gr. baked ham, cut into slices
  • 230 g Swiss cheese, sliced

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Coat a large griddle or griddle with nonstick cooking spray and place over medium heat.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, mustard, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

  3. Spread 1 tablespoon of mango chutney among 4 slices of bread. Top with ham and cheese. Top with a second slice of bread and place the sandwiches in the egg mixture. Turn to coat both sides.
  4. Transfer the sandwiches to the hot skillet and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side, until the cheese begins to melt and is golden brown.
