Try sandwiches with a wonderful combination of spicy ham, pickled vegetables, and zesty watercress. Both baked natural and smoked ham are suitable, and it's best to use a variety of vegetables, such as carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers. Before assembling the sandwiches, toast the buns and spread with mayonnaise sauce with green onions and lemon juice.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 toasted sandwich buns
  • 1 green onion
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a food processor or blender, combine 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 finely chopped green onion, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt, and a pinch of freshly ground black pepper. Blend until smooth.
  2. Spread a little sauce on the bottom halves of 8 toasted buns. Top with a thick slice of baked or smoked ham, pickled vegetables (such as carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers), watercress, more sauce, and top with the top halves of the buns.
