We'll tell you how to cook simple snacks on skewers over a campfire.

Sweet breadsticks
Cut store-bought yeast dough in half lengthwise; thread the resulting strips onto skewers. Fry over low heat until golden brown. Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
Mini salami sandwiches
Slice an Italian sandwich roll in half lengthwise; drizzle the cut sides with olive oil and sandwich slices of salami, provolone, and fresh basil between the halves. Cut into 2-inch (5 cm) pieces. Thread a pickled pepper and a sandwich slice onto each skewer; toast over a flame until the cheese is melted.
Pineapple s'mores
Cut the cake into small squares and spread with boiled condensed milk. Thread a piece of cake, a piece of pineapple, a marshmallow, and another piece of cake onto each skewer; toast until the marshmallows are golden brown.
Ham and cheese sandwiches
Spread mayonnaise on slices of white bread. Place slices of ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles between each slice. Trim off the crusts and cut into quarters. Thread the sandwich pieces onto skewers; grill until the cheese melts.
Turkey and Brie Sandwiches
Slice the baguette in half lengthwise; spread Dijon mustard on the cut side and sandwich slices of smoked turkey and Brie between the baguette halves. Cut into 5cm (2-inch) pieces. Thread a gherkin and a sandwich slice onto each skewer; broil until the cheese is melted.
Stuffed peppers
Halve mini bell peppers lengthwise. Remove the seeds. Season the insides with salt and pepper and stuff with cubes of halloumi or feta. Thread an olive and a stuffed pepper onto each skewer; roast until the skins begin to blister.
Caprese skewers
Wrap mini mozzarella balls in prosciutto. Thread a cherry tomato, a prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella ball, and another cherry tomato onto each skewer; broil until the tomatoes begin to blister.Categories:
