Pickled red onions
Votes: 1

Time: 10 min.
This appetizer takes no more than ten minutes to prepare, and the pickled onions will keep for several days. It's convenient to keep a jar in the refrigerator so you have these tart, spicy rings on hand when preparing sandwiches, salads, side dishes, or simply as a snack with spirits. A little pickled onion will transform almost any dish. The marinade, in addition to vinegar, includes lime and orange juice, which imbues the appetizer with light citrus notes.
