This refreshing coleslaw is packed with a whole host of flavors. Pickled jalapeños add a mild spiciness, mayonnaise adds a creamy note, and apple cider vinegar adds a touch of tartness and sweetness. It's the perfect accompaniment to grilled meats, burgers, and sandwiches.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 x 400g bags of shredded coleslaw mix
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickled jalapeño peppers + 2 tablespoons brine from jar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar, add more if needed
  • 1/4 cup canola oil, add more if needed
  • Half a Vidalia onion, chopped
