If you have a sheet of puff pastry in the freezer, you can always make a variety of appetizers that are especially popular at house parties. They'll look like pastry-covered nipples, but you can use any filling. Look through your fridge and get creative! Puff pastry can be used to wrap almost anything, from a piece of chocolate to an olive.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. On a lightly floured work surface, unroll the thawed puff pastry. Cut into pieces large enough to wrap around the filling in a spiral (see below), overlapping by 1 cm. Fold the filling over, moisten the edge with water, and pinch to seal.
  2. Place the appetizers seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Beat 1 egg with 2 tablespoons water; brush the dough with the batter and freeze until firm, about 20 minutes.

  3. Preheat oven to 200°C and bake until puffed and golden brown, 20-25 minutes.
